Great first surf session with Alex in Newquay. About to book in for another one. After being a bit rusty at any thing sport related, by the end of the first coaching session I was up on the board surfing and moreover he helped me identity a tonne of issues I was struggling with, that I’m working at fixing. Alex has got bags of patience and helps you push yourself but looks out for you at the same time. Can’t recommend enough.

How long will my surf lesson last, and what is the structure?
Your surf lesson lasts2 hours, with at least 1.25 hours in the water.
After changing into your wetsuit, you’ll pick up your surfboard at the beach.
Expect a safety briefing, direction, and personalised feedback during the lesson.
Afterwards, drop off your board, change, and enjoy a nice day down the beach.
Is everything included in my surf lesson?
Swimwear, energy, and a positive attitude are all you need for your surf lesson. We provide the surfboard, wetsuit, leash, and optional gear. Our qualified instructors will keep a close eye on you in the water.
Do I have to carry my board to the beach?
Our convenient service includes bringing the equipment directly to you, wherever you are in Cornwall. You’ll only need to take your board from the truck down to the water’s edge. 🏄♂️🌊
Can my entire family take a surf lesson together?
Yes! You can book a family surf lessons, allowing your whole family to experience surfing together. It’s a great way to bond, exercise, and learn a new skill. Surfing benefits both body and mind, making it an ideal family activity—even on rainy days.
What should I wear for a surf lesson?
All you need to bring to wear is swimwear to put under your wetsuit, and a towel for changing. When you arrive for your surf lesson, we’ll provide you with a warm wetsuit. Our experienced surf instructor will help you find the perfect fit from our selection of modern and snug wetsuits. Our wetsuits cater to both male and female surfers, as well as junior-specific sizes.
How many people will be in my surf session?
We only offer 1-1 private surf coaching, with the option to include 3 other people of your choice.
So we can guarantee your surf session will not be overloaded with people.
This allows us to really personalise your experience and give you as much information to improve your surfing as we can.
If the surf conditions aren’t suitable, will my surf lesson be canceled or rescheduled?
While surf lesson cancellations are rare, if conditions aren’t suitable, we’ll reschedule your lesson. Rest assured, if the location changes, we’ll arrange transportation to and from the alternative spot.
Will there be a safe place to leave my valuables during the surf lesson?
Yes all valuables can be left either in our truck or in your own vehicles.
